MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR
POSITION SUMMARY: Process mortgage loan applications, obtaining all necessary information and documents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviews loan files for accuracy, compliance and completeness.
2. Gathers information on borrower's employment, income, credit, financial resources and property.
3. Documents borrower's employment stability, income adequacy, availability of funds and acceptability of property for financing purposes.
4. Keeps loan officer informed as to the progress of the loan.
5. Analyzes and resolves issues that arise as documentation is received.
6. Documents file sufficiently to provide information to allow underwriter to support loan approval.
7. Submits file to underwriter and follows up on underwriting conditions as needed.
8. Orders exhibits required for closing.
9. Submits document preparation requests to order closing documents.
10. Performs other duties as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or its equivalent and three - four years mortgage processing experience, complete knowledge of requirements applicable to various lending programs, and ability to maintain production standards.
MUST SUCCESSFULLY PASS CREDIT AND CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.
